The Impact of Putting 15 % of Your Total Portfolio in International Stocks

Most of my clients, particularly in the mid till laght nineties, would not have any international equity exposure. And typically then they would agree to put 15 % of their total portfolio in non us. Stocks. Now there was no magic to 20 to 25 % number. It it such. It was a number that i thought that  they would agree to. Some of it was precedent. That's what you would see in the industry. The valuations is based on us. And it's a investment, even though it's getting it's some of the revenue from overseas.
