Grant: I was thinking about a couple other books that fit into this category of investigative memoir. One is by our mutual friend, Alia Vaz,. Her book home baked, my mom, marijuana, and the stoning of San Francisco takes a journalistic approach to the 1970s and 80s. And another perhaps more traditional investigative memoir is Carrie Arsonal's book, Milltown. Grant: There are so many good nonfiction narratives like these, but when you were talking Grants, I actually got to thinking about podcasts because I listened to a lot of true crime podcasts.
