Licke: Some societies there can be odd balls, rite, people who are extremely eccentric and then they can be accepted into the community as playing a sort of prophetic role. There's this kind of push and pull dialectic of distinctive individual and the community in its practices and rituals. He says it seems to run counter to the image that most of us have of anthropologists which grayber probably would embrace. But i guess i would say, well, ah, you know, don't throw the baby out with the bath water, right?
