The Importance of Vision in Leadership

Ive and his team were creating amazing work, but they weren't adept at getting that work accepted by leadership. It's not enough to be an effective manager; a leader has to have vision and get buy-in from others. Jobs saw this and felt that the design team was doing great work, that they were brilliant and innovative.
