Ex-Ellen Show Employees Accused of Toxic Work Environment
Busfeed published an explosive article in which former employees of the ellen show alleged there was a toxic work environment going on behind the scenes. They spoke to one current and ten former staff members anonymously about their experience on set. One employee said that when she was hired, a senior level producer told her and another black employee, oh, wil, you both have box braids. I hope we don't get you both confused. This employee also said that she brought up the issues of race and representation on the show and asked producers not to use terms like spirit animal in segments.
