Introduction
Beauty pseudoscience has kind of like sketchy underground political origins, but has developed into this super commercial and brand friendly thing that is almost unavoidable. A lot of these things are a reaction to specific types of, I guess, social politics that were emerging in the late 2010s. It's definitely an over correction to how a lot of like self acceptance rhetoric was really anti prescriptive about when you get dressed or when you like want to feel more attractive.
