The Influence of Husserl on Heidegger

Husserl is famous for founding a whole philosophical movement called phenomenology. Existentialism comes out of phenomenology via Heidegger by the way. Phenomenology was Husserl's attempt to try and get us back to a contact epistemology. That's why you can see people who are deeply influenced by the phenomenological tradition like Dreyfus and Taylor talking about the loss of touch with the world.
