Warfare

00:00

Introduction

In 19 81, a group of women marched from cardiff in wales to greenham common. Gradually joined by women from all over the world, they formed what became the greenham common women's peace camp. They stayed there for almost 20 years in what would become the largest, most effective women led protest since the suffragette campaign. To mark the fortieth anniversary of that march, i'm joined by gill raymond a k a ray, who lived at greenham common for 16 years, and author rebecca marden, herself a greenham child. Enjoy.
