The Importance of Truth Bias
CNN's John Sutter talks about the idea of truth bias. He says we tend to assume that any information coming in could possibly have a truth value, true or false. The brain automatically tags incoming information is true even if it's obviously false and he asks: Why would we have such a thing installed in our wetwear?
