I feel like the first several years of your career, you literally should be on anywhere at any time. Even if it's trash, you learn something from it. Now eventually it becomes a law of diminishing returns. There are things that still make me stretch and that's important. But yeah, there's certain things that I won't do anymore. It took me like six or seven years for the first no. To be at a show where I did it three times everywhere. And it was close to my apartment when I lived in the East Village.
