The Disadvantages of Facial Recognition Technology

Facial recognition has proven to be a disruptive and traumatic technology for certain populations, namely non white populations. Many facial recognition tools proved to work pretty darn well on white people sufficiently trained systems could identify a person with a pretty high degree of accuracy. The methodologies used by the systems would produce false positives. And you can easily imagine scenarios where this becomes a huge problem.
