There has never been any type of american caesar. Ne franklin roosevelt nor abraham lincoln, despite strong use of executive power, was a caesar. Ideology as a substitute for personal rule is not an option for the post enlightenment right. The lines are not always clear, but that does not mean the lines do not exist. What distinguishes caesar is his rise from chaos and taking advantage of that chaos to make great changes.
