The Battle of the Onofaitai

The Athenian army was ambushed and annihilated at Caronia, by Boesha and Locrian and Ubean exiles. They had essentially undid the work of the Battle of the Onofaitai - so after 11 years, the Athenian land empire in central Greece had collapsed. Seeing that the Athenians were vulnerable, two of their important allies took advantage of this opportunity: Eubia and Megara.
