Pemberton's French Wine Cola
In April 1865, Pemberton sustained a saber wound to the chest. He soon became addicted to morphine and other painkillers. His first recipe for these get-rich quick seams was called Dr. Tugel's Compound Syrup of Globe Flower. Now... Which I think we can all agree is a very catchy name. So far, it's working out great. We've got Coca-Cola money behind us.
