Patrick: The idea of the null never being true I find a really intriguing one and you know maybe worthy of of conversation. Patrick: Even if a null isn't true sometimes we have no information about the directionality so adopting a position of no difference is it's not that it reflects a belief but it reflects a lack of willingness to commit to one particular direction. All right folks thanks for hanging with us in kind of a weirdo episode that was somewhat unexpected. We do have one outline to talk about misuses of statistics in the papers or in the news but this one was kind of fun instead.
