How a Hacker Convinced Your Wireless Carrier That You're You?
Alex had been victim of a kind of hack called a sim swap. A scammer calls your wireless carrier and convinces them that they're you. They take over your phone number and puts it on a new sim card that they control. By the time alex has done all of that, the hacker had already somehow gotten into her email, facebook account and her drop box. So they were essentially looking for something to extort me with. Luckily, they didn't find anything.
