The Effect of Higher Interest Rates on the Population

The idea that putting up rates will cause you to drop your expectations of inflation and therefore cause inflation to fall is a fantasy. What it does do though is change our behavior if we get hit with percent such as the population because you suddenly got to pay a higher rate. The older portion of the population presumably fairly well off own a property and a manifesting of higher rates are doing really well.
