We discuss the importance of Nietzsche's theory of drives as a precursor to Klossowski's thought and the challenge of French Communism and post-structuralism to the figure of bourgeois individuality. We also discuss the influence of Klossowski's work on other French thinkers including Deleuze & Guattari and Foucault.
