If you use gold as a means of exchange but have no capital investment, then money has no value. Sugar is not the price, sugar will just be sugar if it can't be sold for more capital. And this is a bourgeois relationship of production because how would I put bourgeois society? This one is a hard one to explain to a five year old to me.
