The Cost Structure of Renewable Energy
Renewables have grown as fast as they have because of very low cost of inputs. We need to get as much copper in the next 20 years as we've gotten in the last 2000. And then that with renewables, like you know a big electric truck is going to be able to go out into Northern Canada and dump energy there. So it's just like there's gold in the ocean. It's just not economic to extract. You got to move too much dirt. The head grade of copper 15 years ago was 1.3%.
