The dreamer as his own fellow is going to a restaurant. Somebody is giving him some food or sugar covered tortilla. So something very fundamental instinctive gratifying and need is being met. And one could imagine that as the marathon proceeds or perhaps it's ending that he would need to renew the resources that he had burned in the run. Some male figure. I don't know if it's too much to say it's a symbol of the self, but it might. It could be a father symbol, a symbols of the self in as much as it's giving him something that he needs. But it's important that it comes from the masculine side of his personality.
