I think students expect our class to be a debate zone where we're all just really angry at the end of every class and it is the exact opposite. And I've been teaching long enough now that I don't come in with a specific plan. If we run out of things to do I got something I can pull it out. So if you want to glimpse into what it's like to take a class with me, it's how can we find the joy and the curiosity and the questions that really animate us? That's what we're doing every single time.
