Sayers and the Inklings

Sayers had an Inklings community as a college student, but then she lost it. She was completely invested in the detection club and was frustrated with people who weren't invested. But I do think it's one of the reasons why that transition for her from writing detective fiction to writing plays was so appealing. Because it compelled her to be in community for each one of those productions. And she loved that. That's another reason why it wasn't the type of playwright to write the play and then send it off and let other people deal with it. If you're part of the community, be part of theCommunity.
