The Rise of Platform Capitalism
The left must develop socio-technical hegemony, writes Julian Zelizer. Platforms are the infrastructure of global society and can be pre-programmed towards post-capitalist ends according to Zelizer. He argues that capitalism is biased towards capitalist social relations but this is not an inevitable necessity. In order for platform socialism to take hold it will have to nationalize amazon like Amazon has done in North America.
