Chlorothizylidone: A Better Choice for Blood Pressure Control
The study population because of the VA was overwhelmingly white and male. Incidents of the primary outcome events, which were all cardiovascular events, did actually didn't differ significantly in either efficacy or safety. So I think the TLDR from this really is that switching patients from hydrochlorothizide or chlorothylidone for just blood pressure control may be a little useful, but maybe it's probably not that useful in the overall.
