Is WhatsApp Dependent on Ads?
WhatsApp's business model is still dependent on its parent company, which is based on an engagement driven model. That's why the VP of growth at Facebook, Chamath says, you know, how did we make these things work? You know, we hack into human vulnerabilities. So it actually is driven by that same business model, just not explicitly advertisement based. This is all tapping into really deep human psychology and vulnerability.
