To get the ball rolling literally means just to get something started. So at a meeting, somebody could say, who's going to kick off this meeting? We need some questions or we need some points. Who's going to get the ball roll? Let's agree on a date which Saturday is going to be. Then somebody take responsibility to send out the invitations by text. The sooner we get started, the sooner we will get finished. To hit the nail on the head is to get something exactly right. If you're not careful, you'll end up hitting your thumb or your finger. Believe me, that's very, very painful.
