Is It the Way the Enemy Vision Works in a Game Where Predictability Really Matters?

The way the enemy vision works can be pretty unpredictable. And i think ther on one hand, makes them feel like, maybe more alive. But in a game where predictability really matters, especially going for stealthy stuff, that can become really annoyinga but for me, it doesn't even really make them seem more alive to me.
