The Importance of Music in Worship
Sometimes I describe praise and worship music, especially in a liturgical or prayer context as sort of junk food Catholicism. The reason for this is because it has often, if we appeal just to the sort of emotional fix, then you need more. And that can be a pitfall when our spiritual life closely mirrors onto like pop music,. Now, does it have to be that way? No, but is that a pitfall to worry about, especially in our devotion, prayer and worship? Yes.
