Tropes in Literature

Tropes in literature are basically any method of employing a specific type of character, story line, theme or literary device. Tropes usually ones that have been used over and over for, like, hundreds of years,. Therefore they're very familiar to a reader. Some people think following a trope is lazy or unoriginal but at the same time, many readers love them. As a writer, what you may want to do as a writer is find your wheelhouse - it could be right? And so interestingly enough, we talk about this show on this week's Book Club.
