There are many manuscripts that didn't make it to publication until several hundred years. The most famous of these is the florentine codex, originally titled a universal history of the things of new spain. Some were censored by royal authorities because their contents were perceived to be too problematic for political reasons. This book takes on figures who might be known to certain historians or even political theorists but who didn't publish in their time.
