Sara Carmichael: Since the pandemic has led to this sort of tale crunch, you see more companies willing to experiment with shorter work weeks. felix: I remember in the seventies there was this really big conversation about shorter work weeks and the promise of fewer hours. And i'm wondering a little bit whether the current conversation is mostly a reflection of were in a very hot labor market. The first response, i think, of many companies to the hot labor market was to compete on compensation. That looks increasingly difficult for a large number of businesses.
