The City of Abel, the City of Wisdom

In former days, if there was a complicated issue or some sort of controversy, whatever it might be, in former days, you went to my city. In the Septuagint, the Greek translation, it is rendered here as metropolis. A city and a mother meaning a mother city. So to Joab, she says, look, you're trying to destroy a metropolis here. You're destroying a motherCity. Why will you swallow up the heritage of the Lord?
