The Russian Strategy for the Ukrainian Counter-Offensive

The Russians created a swath of about 20 kilometers wide. They rotated troops from the Njetsk in the east where they're fighting Bachmuth, and wheel them around to Belgura. Putin's belief is eventually the West will believe that Ukraine cannot win this war. The Ukrainians are in a dicey position because they have to prove at every turn that they're a good bet.
