London Fields was recommended to me by my roommate. Lucky Jim is, you probably value that more than any Martin Amos book, right? Yeah. He would talk about reading the book of and he had a very vivid image of when he reads a book, he draws a little vertical line in the margin when he sees a particularly good sentence or phrase That really resonates with me in a way that Kingsley's writing doesn't. It's not like Kingsley, it's much more like Nabokov or Bello compared Martin Amos to Nabokov, Joyce and Flaubert.
