Donald Trump's Attempt to Run to His Right Could Chip Away Republican Support
There are a lot of people running for second place because none of them, except for maybe Chris Christie, is acting like he's running to take Donald Trump out. Ron DeSantis has an electability issue he would face should he become the Republican nominee. I don't think even in 2016, when he was first elected, he was always squishy on policy and so I don't know if running to his right is going to necessarily be winning just against Donald Trump with this current posture.
