Baseball Diamond

Ben: Why do we call it a baseball diamond? It seems like there isn't a clear definition of what a diamond shape is, but in general, it's just another turm for a rombus. If you include the rounded part withray the dirt outlines like that to me, looks like that kind of diamond. And i like the way baseball diamond sounds more than baseball square. But i could see somee pedantic about it.
