The Importance of Bone Density in Endurance Cycling

I was surprised that pretty much half of the cyclists, they had low bone density for their age. The lumbar spine is very sensitive to adverse hormone and nutritional factors. So we always compare according to age, because it would be very unfair to compare a 20 year old's bone density to an 80 year old. 44% nearly half of my cyclists had that low lumba spine bone density. And that's all of them, by the way, some of them were fine. Some of them didn't have reds. But even including the whole group, it's 50 of them, of a decent level. so that was pretty concerning.
