Daisy: There was a very, I think, very bad study showing that little M. Terk study, showing that spoilers don't make things worse. And of course, this is because they use unrealists. The same idea and other better studies show that spoilers do. So nobody's thinking this is going to work to solve trauma or like racism or whatever. It's like asking if you should take off your shoes, like when you come in someone's house doesn't work. That's not how you treat people. No, no, but it could.
The great Paul Bloom returns to the show to explore the many mysteries of Todd Field’s 2022 film “Tár.” Is it a ghost story? A movie about cancel culture and abuse of power? Guilt? Professional disappointment? The anxiety of getting old, losing touch with youth and reality? Reminds me of my freshman year at Smith…
Plus – Paul gets into trouble on Twitter for saying he’s mildly pro-trigger warnings in certain cases. But is he ignoring the science???
