Is There a Moral Panic on YouTube?
A few years ago, this conception of YouTube's political implications became big news. I saw like I didn't see any reason for them to be so confident that was the case and definitely saw it as a moral panic. So I thought I'd look into it and I also had like interest technically in actually showing that you could monitor the recommendations just as a software project. And I also wanted to do science in a way that I thought would be a bit more open.So I did everything, open source, shared all the data. That was constantly recording. Some of them still don't like my categorizations. We can talk about that as well.
