The Role of the Government in the Education Sector

There are different ways by which governments intervene in the education sector. In India also that is the case many state governments. Maybe the government will fund education or fund setting up of facilities and it will be managed by let's say a private vendor. Those kind of models are also their charter schools. vouchers can also be there. Government finds out who are the beneficiaries or who are less likely to be able to afford education. And then they can avail education facilities at different private schools. So different models are there but the point is government typically are there in the educationsector.
