Are You a Crisis Actor?
There's a couple of things that you can look for. A one thing that seems to show turn up over and over again in these events is that you've got grieving parents that can't seem to make themselves cry on camera, no matter how hard they try. If this was actually happening to you, you would be somewhere between extremely concerned and hysterical. Ah, those are feelings that are hard to fake a really good actors can do it. But really good actors have jobs being really good actors. Shildy actors have jobs as crisis actors.
