Data Center RFPs - Biodiversity and Forestry
I've been really heartened to see some clients come into us and say, we want to build in GLU-LAM and CLT very large facilities. And sections of RFPs have got a big thing about biodiversity and forestry in a data center RFP. But it will only be when we have regulation and that driving those thoughts. If you don't have to do it, you're not going to do it. There's no planning guidance for data centers in the UK at all. You need to provide areas where nature can thrive. So yeah, I think we need to have a spatial strategy developed for the UK.
