The risks of transparency really only come to the forefront when you are in an adversarial environment. bitcoin's first decade was pretty calm and it didn't face much opposition from government through law enforcement anyone like that. Today we're very much i think entering the first adversarial environment for bitcoin. The same really for privacy broadly like if you are in a perfectly democratic perfectly self-sauveren perfectly free country you may not be really worried about privacy if you have very black laws, he says.
