Are You Surprised by the Pandemic?
A recent survey of 3000 adults over 50 found that the UK stood out as people were significantly more likely to have negative attitudes to work. The views had changed more profoundly since the pandemic than those other countries, which is quite interesting. Sarah: Are you surprised at that kind of finding given all your work and why might older workers not want to work? I think it's clear both from the data and from the kind of qualitative reporting that over the last few decades, really what we've seen is an intensification of work.
