How to Break Down a Question for Kids
i'm forcing them to use the grid method and understand the mechanics of it rather than jumping straight to an answer which is correct. There's so many steps they can't follow it through and then you say well it's okay i'm going to break it down for you but you're playing catch up there. You've got to then get them back on board versus you say right in five minutes time I'm going to show you something from start to finish before we do that. By the time i show you you're going to be so fluent and familiar in everything all your attention then goes on how these things fit together, he says.
