The Importance of the Holy Spirit

When you and I are authentically led by the Spirit, the evidence will be that we have finally and fully come to the end of all self-effort. Without John's gospel, we would have no record of Jesus' teaching on the Holy Spirit. This is where self-justification and self-righteousness comes to their intended end. Everything in the Spirit does not create self-confidence, but it does create confidence.
