The Fundamental Issue in Islamic Sufi Mysticism

In islamic sufi mysticism, the metaphors that are used are polishing the mirror. Soh you best reflect what is divine, and in this sense, divine in terms of the logos, the ultimate truth. You don't get to complain about the structure of the world until you stop falsifying your relationship with it. But even if you try, it isn't clear how good a map you can make. It's certainly the case, and maybe it'll be a good enough map. Maybe it'll be an accurate map. Independent of your inevitable ignorance, you can certainly stop being wilfully ignorant and see what happens.
