What if I Universalize This Particular Maxim?
If everybody imagined, if everybody treated each other that way, we'd get this kingdom of ends. That's the very same world in which all the natural laws that apply to everyone's behaviour should be compatible with each other. And when i think of everybody as a lawgiver, willing those same correct maxims, what i'm willing is this kingdom of Ends. The ones that would pass the categorical imperative in this first formulation, these are the universalizable ones. When you connect one plus two, you collect this univers only have maxims which are universalizable. With treat everybody's an end in themselves, you get this imaginary situation.
