The Trial the Kidnapping of William Morgan
The Masons came down that evening attempting to burn the printing press. They were chased away by this militia, but in addition to disrooning and burning down the printing press, these Masons wanted to make sure that no manuscripts existed and that no copies of it existed elsewhere. Luckily they were prevented, but Captain William Morgan as he called himself was very upset hearing this news. He wasn't pleased that this huge financial windfall for himself could be disrupted by these so-called overzealous Freemasons. The book, the trial the kidnapping of William Morgan says, which invents much previous preparation, was made to burn two houses in the village for their apparent purpose of destroying some printed sheets
